Welcome to the secure streaming portal for the Bad River Tribal Council. To ensure the privacy, security, and sovereignty of Bad River Tribal business, all virtual attendees must adhere to the following digital guidelines:
- Verified Members Only: Virtual access is granted exclusively to enrolled Bad River Tribal Members. The login system uses encrypted authentication to verify your identity. Allowing non-members to view the meeting or sharing your login credentials compromises the security of the Tribe.
- Zero-Recording Policy: The matters discussed by the Tribal Council often include highly sensitive financial, legal, and community information. Attendees are strictly prohibited from recording the meeting in any format. This includes capturing video, taking screenshots, recording audio on a secondary device (like a smartphone), or using third-party AI software to generate personal transcripts.
- The Official Tribal Record: To prevent the spread of misinformation through inaccurate third-party software, the MIS Department and the Council Secretary maintain the sole, highly secure official recording and transcript of every meeting.
- Accessibility: We are committed to making our meetings accessible. Live Closed Captioning is available and can be turned on using the "CC" button in your Zoom toolbar. However, the ability to download or save these captions has been disabled to protect the meeting's confidentiality.
- Enforcement: The system actively monitors connection integrity. Any account found attempting to bypass security protocols, utilize external recording bots, or share access with non-tribal entities will be immediately disconnected and may face a suspension of virtual viewing access.
