It’s that time of year again and we at Bad River are looking forward to hosting our 45th Annual Manoomin Celebration Powwow! This will be a dedicated page where you can come to learn about all things associated with our powwow this year as it comes out.
We of course look forward to seeing you and all of our visitors for our 45th Manoomin Celebration starting August 14th – August 16th, 2025!

Government Road Boat Landing
2-person teams

Over 50
Participants must provide their own canoe and equipment
No racing canoes or kayaks
Everyone must wear a life jacket
DNR will be on the river throughout the race
Prizes
1st Place: $400 × 4
2nd Place: $300 × 4
3rd Place: $250 × 4
Age Requirement
16- and 17-year-olds must be accompanied by an adult
If 16-17 year old win a cash coupon, it will be issued to a 21-year-old for redemption
Waiver
All entrants must sign a waiver releasing Bad River Tribe / Bad River Casino from liability for participation in the canoe race.
Genawendang Aki program will have available 8 canoes for the race.
Participants are encouraged to use their own equipment, 8 canoes, paddles, and pfd’s available the morning of the Race.
