Ingestion Counties in Wisconsin

IF there were ever a nuclear incident at a facility affecting Wisconsin that progressed far enough to involve a radiological release... the above map shows the 21 counties in Wisconsin that might be considered "ingestion counties".

An ingestion county is one that is close enough to the power plant in which it is estimated that the health and safety of the general public could be affected through ingestion of radioactively contaminated food and water. Remember, this is not a common every day danger - an ingestion county would be identified during a specific nuclear incident involving a radiological release. And not all 21 counties would be named at that time.
